Final Court date today (Nov 14, 2012 update) for Restitution from the Dog killer, this is the day I find out what she will pay Restitution is for my two little Yorkie deaths, property damage, medical bills plus pain & suffering It really is not about the money I hope after this the bitch will think twice about thinking it is funny that her dogs attack people Next it will be small claims court against her and her landlord. Plea bargains my ass!!

If you have ever been a victim of a crime or a witness to one, you know that the experience can be devastating. The Mohave County Attorney’s office will refer you to The Victim-Witness Program, as they did for me. Victims Advocates, like Shawna Logsdon strive daily to provide victims’ rights assistance and supportive services to victims of a crime committed in Mohave County.

Victim-Witness provides on-scene response, death notifications, notification of victims of defendant’s release or court status, assistance as trial advocates explaining the court process and accompanying victims and witnesses to trial.

No matter where you live if you are a victim of a crime Google everything to research your rights, contact your County or State Victim/witness service.

If you do not understand something educate yourself. Compose files, take notes, keep phone numbers. Although it is hard, trust me I know from this experience, there are times you will have to just suck it up, put your grief on hold and get prepared for the fight of your life, if you hope to seek justice.

In the beginning it will feel like the criminal is getting all the consideration, but when your chance does come have a good support system of professionals ready to support when it is your turn to speak up in court.
